Batulong Foundation

The objective of Batulong foundation is to help and support children whose parents cannot afford the costs ofthe tuition fee or other school expenses. With this support we want to give the children an opportunity to get better prospects for the future. The parents will be considerably unburdend by the support of the children and can use the money they save for food.

Our main operational area is a relocation site in the outskirts of Cagayan de Oro City: unpropertied families - mostly victims of natural disasters such as taifuns or landslides - have been relocated to this site. They have hardly enough to survive and their income, if they have work, is far below the poverty threshold.

Our support includes tuition fee, school material, money for school projects, uniform and a lunch meal every second day in our feeding center at school. There's no money given to the parents but all the payments and purchasing (of material, uniform, school bag a.s.o) are done directly through Thata Suganob, our manager in the Philippines.
