Batulong
hat in Calaanan, praktisch gegenüber der Primarschule, zwei
Grundstücke erworben und die Bauarbeiten für ein grosses
Batulong Center mit Platz für mehr als 60 Kinder (für 2-3
Schichten Mittagessen) haben begonnen. Im
Batulong-Gebäude
wird nun auch die neue Sozialarbeiterin einen Platz zum Arbeiten haben
und mit Thata, der Managerin, ein Büro teilen. Eine etwas
grössere
Küche, einen Vorratsraum für Nahrungsmittel, einen Raum
für Schulmaterial und einen zusätzlichen Raum für
spätere Aktivitäten mit Eltern oder Kindern sind im
Gebäude integriert. Zusätzlich wird ein kleines Häuschen
für einen Hauswart gebaut.
Das neue Schuljahr hat begonnen und wir konnten noch einmal 48 weitere Kinder ins
Hilfsprojekt aufnehmen. Insgesamt sind dies 362 von Batulong unterstützte Kinder und Jugendliche.
Möchten Sie die Schulbildung eines dieser Kinder
unterstützen? Für 25 Franken im Monat wird einem
Batulong-Kind alles gegeben, was es für einen erfolgreichen
Schulbesuch braucht: Schulgeld, Uniform, Materialkosten, Projektkosten,
Unterstützung bei medizinischen Problemen und jeden zweiten Tag
ein Essen im Batulong-Center.

Batulong has bought two lots in
Calaanan opposite the elementary
school and the construction of a big Batulong center with space
for more than 60 children (for 2-3 shifts of lunch distribution) has
begun. There will also be an office place for the new social
worker who will share an larger office with Thata, the manager. A
slightly bigger
kitchen, a storage room for food, a room for school material and an
additonal room for later activities with parents or children will be
integrated in the building. Additionally, there will be a small house
for the caretaker.
The school year has begun and we were able to add 48 more children to the Batulong charity. All in all there are 362 children and teenagers supported by Batuong.
Would you like to support the education (up to high school) of one of
these children? For 25 Swiss francs a month a Batulong child will
receive
everything it needs to attend school successfully: tuition fee,
uniform, material costs, project costs, support in case of a medical
problem and a lunch meal every second day in the Batulong Center.
